A new chapter for the Lady Reds began this morning as our women made their debut at the NCAA Championships!

Amanda Croix, Alyssa Messina, Carolyn Kelly, Michelle Pelka and Sarah Reynertson are representing the Lady Reds and I can't be more excited. Every year they've been getting better and better and every year it seemed they were always a little (and wrongly) overshadowed by the accomplishments of the men's team. Most of that is because I'm a little more boastful in promoting our team than Sue ever will be (though I made her a blog look for it in coming weeks), but lets face facts - First, they've got five qualifers in the meet. Second, Sue's won conference coach-of-the-year honors four out of the past five years, and third, they kicked ass this morning.

Click on the link above for this morning's results. They certainly had a better debut at the NCAA Championships than Nathaniel Chapman and I did years ago - their 200 Medley Relay made it back in one of the fastest fields in Division III history and Amanda edged out a UW-LaCrosse swimmer to make the big final tonight! More later.
