Times
"A" Recruits are generally swimmers with at least one CCIW-winning or NCAA-qualifying time. "B" Recruits are swimmers with times that would qualify for the championship final of our conference meet while "C" Recruits are swimmers with times slower than the 16th place time at the CCIW Championships .

Academics & Fit
Times are only part of the equation. While meet results can tell us about a swimmer's talent, they can't tell us about their academics, versatility or personality. To be admitted and receive academics scholarships, recruits must have strong grades and test scores. We also ask coaches for recommendations, listen to how the recruit communicates and see how they interact with the team. It's better to have a great person who can be developed into a great swimmer than a talented jack---.
