It was a bit of a rough one this weekend over in Michigan and not just because State lost to the Cornhuskers! Actually, in college football teams generally line up easy opponents to ease their kids into the season and make sure their systems are in place. You’ll see Ohio State play the Kentucky School for the Blind or Iowa take on the Kansas School for the Amputees for an early win.

This weekend was definitely not that. Our freshmen were thrown into the fire right away against a pair of MIAA heavyweights. Day one was a little rough, but we started beginning to hit our stride by day two. Highlights included Kyle going the 3-4th fastest 200 Backstroke in the country and some nice swims by Ben Coder. While the results weren't what we wanted, we left Michigan with the knowledge that this team is setting up to get better and better each week.

Instead of a lengthy writeup (which not everyone read anyhow), I decided to put some of my observations from this weekend on video for a change. You can still check out the results, but I kind of like the ability to record my thoughts and observations on the weekend. As you'll quickly realize, I'm a better coach than video editor, but hey, its our first time doing this. We'll try to post race videos tomorrow.
