More good news arrived today. The NCAA and its myriad of rules won't let us say who just yet, but we got word today that an incoming Red Man just won one of the Carthage Math & Science Scholarships. There's only three awarded so in addition to the big wad of money, there's the pride that goes along with beating out a couple of hundred others.But hey, that's nothing new, afterall in the six years I've been here, Carthage swimmers have won three Math & Science Scholarships, one Lincoln Scholarship (full ride) and one Ruud Scholarship (full tuition) scholarship. Some teams and organizations will go six years without receiving one of these, but we've picked up one nearly every single year. That's no accident. We specifically go after the best and the brightest in part because of the considerable financial aid they receive. Not bad considering that whole college thing can be pretty expensive.
