In addition to the upcoming May 1st decision date, things are getting Rose-ier for Carthage. With nearly a dozen incoming freshmen committed to swimming for Carthage next year our class of 2011 is shaping up nicely. We're just awaiting answers from just a few more guys (a 1:55 backstroker, 2:09 breaststroker, 47.0 freestyler, and 52.0 flyer - you know who you are) and then hopefully we can find a way to announce them publically (the NCAA has tight rules on what you can/can't say).

But we can tell you that our conference just got tougher (i.e. better) with today's announcement that Rose-Hulman will be joining the CCIW. They're a pretty solid team and had a national champion in the 100 breaststroke back in 2003 (the crazy thing is he went 56.20 to win - this year Zach Jole goes 56.40 to win - the consolation heat). Their addition will add some more depth and competition and that will help prepare us for national competition and make a quest for a CCIW that much more rewarding.
