The new CollegeSwimming.com/CSCAA Dual Meet Rankings came out and Carthage returned to the top-twenty. The Red Men moved up four spots to reach 20th, while our Lady Reds dropped one to #14.

Sure, I own the site, but that doesn't necessarily help us. In the first poll I listed us as 25th. We've definitely had our share of injuries, guys out of the water, and inexperience, but as the season has rolled along, I can see the team getting better and better. We still haven't shown our best side just yet and that's fine - we'll save that for February and March. The year-end finish at CCIW's and NCAA's, that's what people record and remember, but the jump up means the rest of the country is keeping an eye on Carthage.

Incidentally, there are a lot of familiar faces in the top twenty five. I count five top-20 teams on our schedule - #4 WashU, #6 St. Olaf, #9 Hope, #15 DePauw, and #16 Kalamazoo. Add in Division II and you add #5 St. Cloud, #7 Missouri-Tech, and #19 Lewis. ...oh and that Nortwestern team we swim next week isn't too bad either.
