Carthage swimming - past, present, and future were on display this weekend at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center.  We welcomed alums and recruits for what we hope will become an annual Alumni/ Intrasquad meet.  One of the highlights was the unveiling of our new record board (above).

We also hosted eleven recruits over the course of the weekend.  All are guys we think can make a big impact.  All are guys who have us on their short list, and all headed back home this morning.

It was a fun, but exhausting weekend, that included, of course a meet.   The meet revealed that in many ways were ahead of last year's record season, but also showed that we've got some conditioning ahead of us.  The guys swam a 100 of each stroke, and by the time freestyle rolled around you could see the fatigue setting in.  For scoring purposes, we added up each team's top ten times in each event and the results couldn't have been much closer - out of roughly 80 minutes of swimming, it was the White team led by captain Alex Van Huis, edging Nathan Ripley's Red team by just 4.54 seconds.  Imagine an 80 minute race decided by 1/3 of a length.

Competitive considerations are going to preclude us from posting full results for a couple of weeks, but here's a rundown of the rankings:
